Fees & Cancellation Policy
Conflict Coaching
Carey offers one-on-one conflict coaching in person in Stratford, Ontario. It is preferable to work with coaching clients in person, but conflict coaching via video call is also available, anywhere in the world using Google Teams.
The hourly rate for coaching is $125 per person. Tax is included.
Coaching is typically booked on an hourly basis. A deposit is not required, but there is a 48-hour cancellation policy otherwise the appointment may be billed in full.
Mediation
Carey is available for full or half day mediations, in person, in Stratford, Ontario. Mediations are typically booked for one full day, though more than one day may be required. This will depend on the complexity of the issues and the willingness to work towards a resolution.
Rates for mediation are:
$900 (tax included) for a full-day, 2-party session, from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm, with a 1-hour break in between.
$500 (tax included) for a half day (3 hour), 2-party session, in the morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-4pm).
A free 30-minute consultation is available for each party prior to engaging in the process.
These rates are designed to be an affordable alternative to other mediation services (which can run in the thousands of dollars for a day-long session) and reflect the rural reality of our community here in Stratford and Perth County.
Additional rates may apply if more than 2 parties are required to be in attendance.
A non-refundable deposit of $450 per scheduled day of mediation is required in order to book the mediation; a non-refundable deposit of $250 is required for a half-day session. The remaining balance is due prior to the start of each session.
Following your booking, Carey will send you a Mediation Agreement, which must be signed by all the parties and submitted prior to the first session.
Cancellations
All cancellation, adjournment, or postponement requests must be in writing and received by Carey Graham before the applicable time.
If the mediation is cancelled, adjourned or postponed more than 14 days prior to the scheduled date for the mediation, there will be no cancellation fee, but the deposit is still non-refundable.
For coaching, there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours, or missed appointments, may be billed in full.
For mediation, there is a one week (7 day) cancellation policy. Cancellations or rescheduling within 7 days of the scheduled mediation date will be billed in full for the mediation session.
These policies and cancellation timelines are required to ensure fairness to all parties, reflecting the time required for all parties to prepare for a mediation and to encourage proactive engagement with the process by all involved.
Fees include the mediator’s pre-mediation preparation; additional fees may apply if preparing for a complex matter is determined to require additional time. This will be determined following your initial consultation.
If a mediation is cancelled, each party will be responsible for half of the mediation fee unless the parties agree otherwise.
Method of Payment
Our preferred method of payment is via e-transfer to: carey.graham@gmail.com. We also accept credit card & debit payments via Square.
Additional Fees
Should additional time be required, an additional half-day or full-day mediation will need to be booked with an additional 50% deposit required at the time of booking.
The cost of the venue if in person, parking, and catering (if requested) will be an additional charge. There is no additional charge to proceed by videoconference.
